AMC21 Events
The adults conference (AMC) and Kids conference will be held in Perth at the Mercure Hotel, on the weekend of 12th to 14th November 2021. The program will start with an Icebreaker on Friday evening.
The conferences will be held during the day on Saturday, with a Gala Dinner on Saturday night.
The Annual General Meeting will be held Sunday morning.
These are open to all members of Australian Mensa, Mensa members from other countries and family and partners of members.
The member will need to be logged in to access the member prices and options, and can book for themselves and others. Non members in the family can sign up for the conferences and/or just for the social events.
Conferences
The conference cost is basically for the morning and afternoon teas and a buffet lunch, so whether you actually attend the presentations at the main conference, the kids conference or neither does not affect the cost. There will be a breakout and games room for those who do not want to attend a particular session or just need a break.
The conferences run during the day on Saturday from around 8:30am to 5pm. See the program pages for more details.
The main conference is targetted at adults and older children, while the kids conference is for children aged up to 12 - 14.
Children under 8 must have a responsible adult in the kids conference room at all times. For older children the adult must remain in the hotel but may attend the main conference sessions or be in their own room, the breakout room or the public areas.
Social events
These are optional and selected separately during registration.
Friday night
3-hour cocktail party with platters and 2 complimentary alcoholic drinks, (beer, wine, cider, spirits) followed by a cash bar. Soft drink available on demand. Adults $50, Children $25
Saturday night
Gala Dinner Buffet including a 3-hour drinks package.
Buffet : Seafood – prawns, oysters, marinated octopus, mussel and squid salad
3 Salads, 1 Roast, 2 hot dishes, 4 desserts, cheese platter
Drinks: Red, white and sparkling wine, beer and cider. Soft drink.
Theme : Stars and Starlets – Dress for the Red carpet or come as a movie or TV character. Or be creative and come as your favourite constellation or polygram.
Adults: $99
Kids conference continues to 9-30, with pizza/pasta and movie.

Annual General Meeting
Sunday morning
This is the official meeting of the organisation. Officers will present their reports and will take questions.
In particular, the Treasurer will present the accounts and budget.
Tea coffee and morning tea will be available. There is no charge, and only members can attend.
This meeting will be on Zoom so members who can not physically attend can participate.
Rottnest Island Trip
This is a pay your own way event, but an opportunity to visit this tourist destination with a group of fellow Mensans.
